Winslow children were exposed to a large number of possible recipes during a two-hour class. Winslow Library on Gilmore Street is having a series of free summer programs for children. Call 289-4982 for the details of any given day. On June 6 there was a two-hour culinary arts demonstration at the Winslow Junior High. Chartwells Food Service put on a salsa and Mexican pizza demonstration, which was attended by 70 people, mostly children. Groups of children made up posters about salsa and were introduced to ingredients, history, variations and "food facts" regarding the elements. There will be a culinary arts demonstration each Wednesday during the month of June. All of the library's summer programs are free and continue throughout the summer.
